At Universidad Industrial de Santander, we are committed to fostering a culture of sustainable development, prioritizing environmental protection, efficient resource use, pollution prevention, and compliance with legal and voluntarily adopted standards. To achieve this, we focus on environmental education, minimizing significant environmental impacts from the University’s core and support activities, and continuously improving the performance of our Environmental Management System.
Environmental Festival- UIS Barbosa
The Universidad Industrial de Santander Barbosa Campus remains dedicated to creating spaces that foster a shift in the cultural mindset of both the educational community and the general public regarding actions that negatively impact the environment.
In these spaces, we aim to inspire interest in natural resource preservation, raise awareness about sustainable development, and create opportunities for emerging leaders and initiatives that foster environmental responsibility. We hope participants will carry these actions forward, promoting environmental awareness in their personal, family, and professional lives.

Health and Safety
At Universidad Industrial de Santander, we are committed to promoting safe environments, positive workplace coexistence, and healthy work practices, as well as preventing occupational illnesses and injuries among staff. We prioritize hazard identification, risk assessment, the implementation of control measures, and the practice of emergency protocols across all Academic and Administrative Units, including our Regional Campuses, the Guatiguará Technology Park, and other work centers.
To support this commitment, we ensure the implementation, regular updating, and continuous improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. This applies to all employees, regardless of their type of connection, including contractors and students, in compliance with current legal requirements related to occupational hazards in the institution’s mission and support activities.
