At Universidad Industrial de Santander we are committed to the generation of a culture of sustainable development that includes environmental protection, efficient use of resources, pollution prevention and compliance with legal requirements and others voluntarily adopted by the institution. To this end, we work in environmental education, the minimization of significant environmental impacts arising from the development of the University’s mission activities and support processes, and continuously improve the performance of our Environmental Management System.
Environmental Festival- UIS Barbosa
The Universidad Industrial de Santander Campus Barbosa continues with an interest in promoting spaces that contribute to the transformation of the culture of the educational community and the community in general against situations that generate negative impacts on the environment.
In this type of space, we seek to awaken interest in the preservation of natural resources, generate awareness of sustainable development, create spaces that allow the emergence of leaders and initiatives that contribute to the generation of awareness for the care of the environment and multiply these actions in their personal, family and work environment.

Health and Safety
At Universidad Industrial de Santander we are committed to the promotion of safe environments, work coexistence and healthy work practices; as well as the prevention of occupational diseases and injuries in the staff. In addition, we promote the identification of hazards, risk assessment, the establishment of the respective controls and the practice of protocols for emergency care in each of our Academic-Administrative Units including the Regional Campuses, the Guatiguará Technology Park and other work centers.
For the above, we guarantee the implementation, updating and improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, with scope for all civil servants regardless of their form of connection, including contractors and students, complying with the applicable and current legal requirements regarding occupational hazards in the mission activities and support processes in the institution.
