Our Campus

On December 27, 1997, the Barbosa campus began its academic activities with the enthusiastic collaboration of municipal and departmental authorities. Sixty students enrolled to study for a degree in Management and Computer Technology.

In 2002, the UIS Barbosa offers the community the introductory level for the following engineering programs: Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Systems, Chemical, Metallurgical, Petroleum and Geology.

In April 2008, the country headquarters of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Barbosa, was built on an 11-hectare lot located at Km 1 on the old road to Cite, and was officially inaugurated on September 18, 2009. And from the second semester of 2010, the second phase corresponding to the library building was built.

This effort to generate spaces for the academic community is the confirmation of the commitment with the development of the region and the support to the development of the processes of mission and vision of the University.
