Universidad Industrial de Santander has implemented its Gender Equity Policy and Protocol for Addressing Acts of Gender-Based Violence. This protocol establishes procedures for responding to, assisting, monitoring, and referring incidents of gender-based violence, whether they occur within institutional spaces—physical or virtual—or beyond, as part of the University’s mission-driven activities.
The Protocol can be activated by anyone who considers themselves a victim of gender-based violence or by a third party who, as a witness or with knowledge of an incident, wishes to refer the case to ensure the victim receives appropriate support. All members of the UIS community, including students, administrative staff, and faculty, who experience gender-based violence are eligible for assistance.
